And The Beat Goes On

This month Brainstorm is dedicated to raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help the fight to cure blood cancers and helping the family’s of those diagnosed.

In addition to raffles, donation drink specials and more, we’ve got two guests to provide a nice variety of tunes:
Tracksploitation – Every Tuesday at New Amsterdam and at various other events throughout the city, Professor ASAP and JCT45 mix and mash songs from all across the board using Ableton Live alongside traditional turntables. Come watch them do their thing at Z-Lounge for this special event.

Clevr – A Pittsburgh staple, Clevr’s been DJing for as long as I can remember and his work with St Jude’s Children’s hospital and at the Casino has been a big success. Despite his steady Thursday Casino event, when I asked him to participate he enthusiastically agreed.

Keeb$ – That’s me! You might be wondering why I chose to raise money for the LLS this month… well, my long-time friend Katie Nordquist is the real motivational force behind the event. September 7th she’ll be riding a 100 mile bike marathon to raise $4200 for the cause. She’s halfway there and hopefully this event will get her significantly closer to her goal.

Normally Brainstorm’s free, but to help raise funds we’re going to be charging $5 this month. Additionally, we’ll be raffling off gear from Time Bomb, Steeler’s Jerseys, and more.
